Initially, we wanted our wedding ceremony to be held at St. John Bosco Makati, but we could not get the
date/s we wanted. Driving around Makati, we found the National Shrine of the Sacred Heart (c/o our friend, Zia). We found the church simple yet truly charming. It's also air-conditioned, so it's a bonus for us (and our guests). What really struck us was the beautiful altar with an aesthetic painting of Jesus. It does not have wooden doors, though. But the glass doors will do. :-)

We have been looking around the metro for a venue with a resto-slash-lounge feel, as we had some requirements in mind: a) not an events place, b) not hotel-like (it's too formal for our taste), and c) no Tiffany chairs. We almost gave up and settled for a hotel, but luckily we found this new bistro located in one of the high-rise office buildings in Makati. It's a small place with low-ceiling and comfy seats. Exactly what we were looking for! :)

Mitch is a very pleasant lady to work with. We have seen her exquisite make-up artistry among our friends, that's why when she announced her promo, we grabbed it right away! We initially booked her for December 23, but we soon had to move it to December 26 due to conflict between the church and reception venue's availability. Unfortunately, Mitch was already booked for that day! Oh no!!! Bride was so heartbroken, but Mitch (many many thanks!!!) freed up her December 26 booking just to accommodate us. We hugely appreciate it Mitch!
